Road worthiness tests and Brexit

After the 31st of December 2020, used and imported vehicles from the UK must pass a complete technical inspection before being registered in Denmark.

When presenting a used vehicle from abroad for registration in Denmark it is possible to use the latest roadworthiness certificate, which must have been issued in an EU og EEA country within the date and frequency of testing as shown in Executive Order no 1684 of November 23rd, 2020, § 56.

In the deal between the EU and the UK there has been no mention of technical inspection of vehicles in the UK, and therefore, from the 1st of January 2021, all used and imported vehicles from the UK must pass a complete technical inspection before being registered in Denmark.
