Publicied 22-12-2020

In relation to the new rules for remuneration of posted drivers the Danish Road Traffic Authority has agreed with the Danish National Police that a guiding principle will be used during inspections of companies within the first three months of 2021.

An agreement with the Danish National Police on a guiding principle towards companies has been made as a consequence of the rules being published late in relation to the date on which they are to enter into force on the first of Janurary 2021, and derived herfrom companies having a short time to adjust to the new requirements. The Danish Road Traffic Authority has had good results with this approach in other areas.

Therefore, the Danish Road Traffic Authority has agreed with the Danish National Police that in the first three months after the requirements have come into force - ie in the period from the first of January 2021 to the 31st of March 2021 – the Danish National Police will conduct a guiding attitude towards the companies that are inspected.

The new rules on conditions for foreign companies' cabotage by freight, bus or road part of combined transport operations means, among other things, that the company must pay the driver a minimum hourly rate when cabotage or road part of combined transport is performed.
